CAD is the foundation of FRC design where brainstorming is realized in a 3D workspace. Using sketches, parts, and assemblies teams can design and assemble their whole robot in a CAD software such as Onshape, SOLIDWORKS, Fusion 360 or more. It is also used to design custom parts to be cut or 3D printed.
