📃Paper Scouting

Paper scouting is definitely my preferred form of scouting. Whereas digital scouting is the most efficient, paper scouting is the higher quality. The nature of the tangibility of paper leads to it having more accurate and an overall increase in volume over other forms. Additionally, it makes it easier to supervise and prevents excuses such as no signals or phones. Overall, paper is the tried and true reliable form of scouting.

Advantages

• Allows for tangible scouting information, making it easier for the scouts to fill in the information

• Results in more substantial notes than digital scouting would.

• In the event of no signal or people having no phones, paper scouting is still possible

Disadvantages

• The data is larger and harder to manage and keep organized

• Paper quickly becomes heavy, and can take up a lot of space and be hard to move

• Inputting all the data from the papers can quickly become unwieldy and inconvenient
